Damming the Creek

Water is a key element of human settlement. Cities, towns, and villages all inevitably grow on the edges of waterways. Bowmanville Creek (and its tributaries) has been a key water source in the development of Bowmanville. Evidence for this can be found in the many dams and barriers that have been built along the creek to harness the power of water.
