Bowmanville Valleys 2000 is a volunteer public organization formed in the late 20th century. In its 20-year history as a registered charity, Valleys has been providing stewardship in restoring, enhancing and telling the story of the Bowmanville valley system (Bowmanville and Soper Creeks).
Valleys’ major achievements include fundraising and oversight for a Fish Passageway design and construction, design and maintenance of a Butterfly Garden, and ongoing fundraising and planning for two new forests, plus strategic plantings to shore up the riparian system. In addition, we have done significant outreach and education in the community concerning the value of greenspace and help advise regional and municipal governments as needed.
